Hello, and thank you for visiting my personal page for the walk and for making a personal donation.
On Saturday, March 23, I will participate in a 5K fundraising walk along Fort Lauderdale Beach to address the escalating spread of HIV/AIDS in South Florida, and provide care for those already affected by the disease.
Until then, I will be working with Co-Leader Dr. Elie Schochet to lead the Happy Hiney / World AIDS Museum team toward their goal of 200 walkers and 200,000 dollars. This is an aggressive goal but one that is possible through generous people like you.
An estimated 1.1 million people in the US are living with HIV, and 15% of them don’t even know it. Also only 50% of people with HIV in the United State are undetectable. The other 50% (i.e. the detectable group) can transmit the disease. Florida is disproportionately affected and funding is being cut.

Please bookmark this page if you're interested in keeping track of my progress as I approach the March 23 fundraising deadline. I encourage you to browse the rest of this website if you’d like to learn more about the Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival, or the current status of HIV/AIDS in our community.
Thanks again! Your gift makes a direct impact on my goal to save lives right here in Florida from the devastation of HIV/AIDS. Together, we are making a difference!
